Juror's Statement
All of the images selected for the show exemplify what is most valuable about photography: original and often unexpected observations of the world, aided by attention to the formal aspects of the medium. They also share a nuanced emotional depth that can derive only from patient reflection on the part of the photographer. Because of the language they have in common, the photographs are able to speak to one another across geography, time, and subject, and form a larger conversation about the world we live in.

Call for Entries
For the PhotoPlace Gallery juried exhibition Your Greatest Hits, we sought any photographs in any style and medium that show photography at its finest. We were honored to have Neil Harris, associate photo editor for TIME magazine, as juror for this exhibition.
Neil chose forty photos for exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery from November 27th through December 22, 2012. He also chose an additional thirty-five photos for the gallery's Online Annex. All selected work will be included in a full-color exhibition catalog available for purchase. To help artists defray costs, PhotoPlace Gallery offers to mat and frame work selected for exhibition free of charge, providing artists print their images to our pre-cut mat and frame sizes.
