About the Juror
Tim Anderson is a fine art photographer. He has been in the field of photography for 45-years. He favors black-and-white street photography, compelling landscapes, surreal composite images and fine art nudes. He looks for the unique in a setting; something that might force him to ?take a step back in order to see the image more clearly.?
Working in the same manner in the studio as well as on location, surprise is the most invigorating element of his creative process. No model or location is the same and he feels it is up to him to find that "moment", that epiphany which captures an image that is both timeless and inspiring.
Tim publishes Shadow & Light Magazine, a bi-monthly, PDF, 100 page photography online magazine. He is the former publisher/managing editor of CameraArts magazine, and for nine-years produced Red Dog News, a bi-weekly photography-related e-newsletter that went out to more than 10,000 world-wide subscribers. Tim is also a publisher (Cygnet Press), and Editor-at-Large for Adore Noir magazine (online magazine).
Tim manages several art/photography websites, blogs and mentors students. Tim has juried throughout the country for Review Santa Fe, Review LA, Photo Lucida, and The Center for Fine Art Photography, The Gala Awards, The Palm Springs Photo Festival, and Tokyo International Foto Awards.
