Juror's Statement

It was an honor to juror this exhibit. There were so many incredible images submitted that it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to a total of just 75. We chose only those images that stopped us in our tracks. Each had to be well composed, be technically proficient, and make us want to return to it. There were many that fit these perimeters, so our final decisions were focused on choosing a diverse collection of images that explored various ideas of landscape.

The juror’s choice image is stunning — the frame is beautifully composed, the color and lines are all work together, and the light is gorgeous. The director’s choice had tremendous stopping power and a wonderful muted color pallet. The honorable mentions all explore manmade landscapes — we loved the variety and composition of each one of these.

Thank you to all who submitted their work. We enjoyed every minute of this difficult process!
